Shildon vintage day

George mentioned that there was a vintage rally being held at the National Railway Museum in Shildon. Duncan and I joined George to see thge vehicles outside and the trains inside. Most were post war cars but there were a few commercial and military vehicles as well. We got there a bit too late to park with the real vintage stuff but were put into an overflow car part for vintage cars. Our cars attracted quite a bit of interest. The white car that can just be seen at the end of the line of Pembletons is an Armstrong Siddeley

One guy had a collection of vintage racing cycles which illustrated the development of the derailleur gears that we now accept as the usual fitment on a bike.
