I have been chatting to Tony and he was asked for a weighbridge certificate as part of the registration process. A bit odd as the weight is clearly stated on the MAC.
I would like to know what others have experienced to know of this is just a one off or everyone is asked.
Apparently it is because the new vehicle is a tricycle which has a different weight limitation to a normal car.

Cheers, Robin

I had to produce a certificate but mine was tested as a heavy quad rather than a trike.

I had mine weighed and took the weighbridge tickets to the tests but was not asked for them. I included them with the registration application. Whether this was necessary or not I don't know...

Evidence me lud....

ImageDSCF2197 by Robin Martin, on Flickr

Been round the block a few times :D Running rather rough to say the least. It's these carburetor thingies I'm not used to I suspect. Won't rev above about 4000 and sounds like its running on 1 cylinder and a smartie tube sometimes. May need some input from one of youse experts...

Cheers, Robin

PS - the high riding look is deliberate. I will wait for everything to settle a bit before I adjust the ride height.

Looking good. Don't worry about polishing, let's get it running right.
Lot's of things to check.
What ignition system have you got, is the timing correct?
Is there spark at both cyls?
Are the plugs black & wet?
Do you have a pressure regulator on fuel supply? is there too much fuel pressure for the float needles fitted?
Are floats set to correct level?
Is compression good, tappets set correct?

It may be that the carbs have been standing with old petrol for a few years and are gunged up, needing a thorough clean.
Tony
