I sent my MSVA application off to the local DVSA centre (Leighton Buzzard) over two weeks ago. I have heard nothing. Is the DVSA normally slow to respond?
I asked for a test for the middle of February and, as I am still working for a living, it would be nice to know well in advance what date they are going to give me!
Cheers, Robin

Ring them up. The guys in Norwich were very helpful and obliging.

I did try that initially. But the person that answered the phone (central number?) wouldn't put me through to the test centre until I actually had a test booked! Perhaps I should try again and hope to get someone more helpful....Weg3 wrote:Ring them up. The guys in Norwich were very helpful and obliging.

Robin,
Email VOSA - they have a "respond by" policy timescale (from memory, 3 days). It's not as if the local Centre will be snowed under by applications at this time of the year.

It's a 2CV Jim, but not as we know it.

Re: DVSA centre - slow to respond?
Hi
Seems to me that two weeks is reasonable given the staffing levels and their other workload - I dont think kit car tests is a big part of their workload nor is their work particularly seasonal
The reason for the central number is to let them get on with their work without interruptions
Perhaps wanting a test mid Feb and only applying mid Jan was somewhat optimistic
Regards a local government worker doing 3 people's jobs!
